NFL microphones caught San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel giving George Kittle a short but (very) useful pep talk on the sidelines during Sunday’s Divisional Round showdown against the Dallas Cowboys.
As you can see at the start of the clip below, Samuel tells Kittle, “Put us in your backpack then. Put us in your bookbag.” Moments later, Kittle completed a phenomenal 30-yard juggling catch that would set up Christian McCaffrey’s go-ahead rushing score.
Kittle’s catch, quite literally, left Samuel speechless (beginning at the 0:29 mark).
Kittle finished the day as the 49ers’ leading receiver, hauling in five receptions for 95 yards. Samuel caught four passes for 45 yards and added 11 rushing yards on four carries. The 49ers won a defensive slugfest 19-12, qualifying for the NFC Championship Game for the third time in four years.
The 49ers will meet the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday. Over in the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Cincinnati Bengals in a rematch from last year’s thrilling AFC title game.
