Micah Parsons almost ended the Dallas Cowboys season before everybody got to see it crash and burn later on in the year.
The Dallas Cowboys dodged disaster during Tuesday’s training camp practice when Parsons rushed the passer and tried to pull up to avoid hitting quarterback Dak Prescott. However, Parsons ended up hitting Prescott down low, resulting in an injury scare for the team.
Luckily for everybody involved, Prescott escaped injury.
With the exception of that perhaps disastrous play, Parsons has been a standout throughout the Cowboys’ training camp, and head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters after practice that the two-time Pro Bowler had a strong effort on Tuesday.
The 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year enters his third season in Dallas with high expectations after posting 13.5 sacks, three pass breakups, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, 65 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and 26 quarterback hits in 17 games last season en route to finishing second in Defensive Player of the Year voting. He is doing everything he can for this team to succeed, but regular-season wins won’t cut it for a polarizing team like Dallas.

Prescott has even more help after the team traded for WR Brandin Cooks to pair him up with CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup.
The Cowboys have one of the best rosters on paper, but we have seen this movie before whee the team looks like a contender, but they can never put it together come playoff time.
Prescott needs to remain healthy and not turn the ball over if the team wants any hope of going deep into the playoffs.
