Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons has made some bold proclamations this offseason, saying he wants to be “one of the greatest Hall of Famers.” He will need to stay healthy to make that happen.
The First-Team All-Pro in each of his first two seasons in 2021 and 2022 may have to dial it back a touch in practice going forward after he exited Tuesday’s training camp session in Oxnard, California early with a leg injury, according to the Fort Worth-Star Telegram.
He returned to the practice sidelines after missing the last 11 plays of the first-team defense’s red zone drill, according to ESPN.
Parsons reported on Tuesday that he was kicked in the leg during training camp practice, and is now going to get it looked at.
“It’s just something that happened to me, it’s football,” Parsons said when asked about his left leg Tuesday, via the Dallas Morning News. “I’m not worried about it.”

The extent of the injury is unknown at this time. Also unknown is exactly who kicked Parsons in the leg.
Parsons is considered one of the best players in the league. He is considered the favorite to win Defensive Player of the Year.
The Dallas Cowboys have what could be one of the most dominant defenses in the NFL in the 2023 season but Parsons need to be healthy for that to happen. Parsons is transitioning to a pass-rushing role full-time this season after being used all over the formation his first two seasons in the NFL.
In his first two seasons in the NFL, he has recorded 26.5 sacks, 33 tackles for loss, 56 quarterback hits, and 88 pressures. Parsons is among the best defensive players in the NFL, which is why Tuesday’s news has everyone holding their breath.
Parsons has missed only one game in his career, the regular season finale in the 2021 season after the Cowboys had already clinched a playoff spot and the NFC East division.
