NFL fans are convinced that Micah Parsons wants to be traded after the Dallas Cowboys’ superstar linebacker posted a cryptic video on his TikTok account.
Last night, the Cowboys announced that they promoted offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to the head coaching position. Schottenheimer has been on Dallas’ coaching staff since 2022, though then-head coach Mike McCarthy was the offensive play-caller from 2023-24.
On Saturday, Parsons shared a cryptic 11-second TikTok video that has fans totally confused. Watch it yourself, and interpret it however you wish:

Given the timing of this video post, fans are naturally wondering if Micah Parsons is unhappy about Jerry Jones’ curious decision to hire Schottenheimer. Some even think that the All-Pro linebacker wants out of Dallas.

Micah Parsons will be entering the fifth and final season of his rookie deal in 2025. He was eligible for an extension in the offseason, but the Cowboys prioritized (and reached) new deals with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott.
So with only one season remaining on his deal, Parsons is in a spot where he could request a trade and realistically have it granted. Of course, the ideal scenario for the Cowboys is to pay the 2021 first-round pick what he’s worth on a new deal that will easily exceed $100 million.
Micah Parsons Had Another Excellent Season In 2024
Despite missing four games in the regular season, Parsons finished with 12 sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass breakup. He has recorded double-digit sacks in each of his first four seasons for a career total of 52.5 in 63 games.
