D’Andre Swift has not even been a member of the Philadelphia Eagles for a full week, but he found his name trending on social media over something he never said.
Swift announced on Friday that he will wear No. 0 with the Eagles. He wore No. 32 during his three seasons with the Detroit Lions, but now wants to take advantage of the new rule that allows NFL players to wear any number they would like.
On Friday, a guy pretending to be a reporter stated he asked Swift why he chose the new number. He said he likes it because that’s how many times the Dallas Cowboys have been to the NFC Championship Game since he was born.
While it is funny, Swift never said this.
Unfortunately, Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons did not know this, so he commented back at him. He would be informed of it and then delete his comment.
Parsons replied to Swift saying that Swift “just pulled up on the block,” insinuating that he thought Swift was starting the trash talk a little too early.

Here’s how social media responded:
Dallas went to the NFC Championship Game every year from 1992-1995 and won three Super Bowls during that four-year span. After that, they have not made it back to the NFC Championship game for the chance to even play for a chance to advance to the Super Bowl.
Swift was acquired from the Detroit Lions on the third day of the 2023 NFL Draft for a 2025 fourth-round selection and a seventh-round swap of picks between the two teams in the recent draft.
Next season’s NFC East matchups between Dallas and Philly should nonetheless send sparks flying as the reigning conference champs will look to get back to their winning ways and the Cowboys will look to show them they can be for real this time around.
