Dallas Cowboys’ star linebacker Micah Parsons injured his wrist during Saturday’s practice session by, in his own words, “being stupid” during a drill.
In the clip shared below by Jon Machota of The Athletic, you can see Parsons injure his wrist while seemingly trying to punch the ball out during a defensive drill. Per Machota, Parsons added that he was “being stupid,” and that it was “nothing too serious.
And exhale, Cowboys fans.
The Cowboys will commence preseason play against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Aug. 12. They’ll then travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks (Aug. 19), before returning home for a showdown with the Las Vegas Raiders (Aug. 26).
Parsons was drafted 12th overall by the Cowboys in 2021.As a rookie, he racked up 13 sacks, three pass defenses and as many forced fumbles en route to Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. As a sophomore, he recorded 13.5 sacks, three pass defenses and a trio of forced fumbles.
