Micah Parsons has committed to playing flag football for the United States at the 2028 Summer Olympic Games.
The sport has been approved for the games by the International Olympic Committee, prompting excitement from some notable NFL stars, including wide receiver Tyreek Hill, as well as former tight end Rob Gronkowski.
Both players have expressed interest in representing Team USA and Parsons has now thrown his name into the mix, also making a recruitment pitch for a superteam. While the 24-year-old plays as a linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys, he expects to play on offense when he suits up for the Olympics.
“Flag football is coming to the Olympics in 2028, who should be on the US team? I should be on the US team,” he said on his ‘The Edge’ podcast this week.
“Because I can’t do it on track and I can’t do anything else but I can play some flag football. I think I might be playing offense.”
Parsons wants a number of other stars to join him and Hill, naming other wideouts: Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, and CeeDee Lamb.
“All our guys need to be on the team. Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, CeeDee Lamb, we should run through everybody just like we do in wrestling and everything else,” he continued.

The U.S. is expected to capture gold at the event given that football is their sport and is hardly played anywhere else. Anything less would be a huge embarrassment.
