The Dallas Cowboys fell short in the playoffs once again, but it certainly wasn’t the fault of the defense.
Micah Parsons and company had one of their most impressive performances of the season, limiting the San Francisco 49ers offense to just one touchdown despite having to deal with some bad field position thanks to a couple of Dak Prescott interceptions.
Limiting the likes of Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey like they did should have been enough for the Cowboys to escape with the victory. That’s how Parsons felt following the 19-12 Divisional Round loss, and he wasn’t afraid to say it.
Via Cowboys reporter Clarence Hill Jr.:
“A frustrated Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons said the 49ers defense made more plays than they did. But he also added that giving up just one touchdown and getting Deebo and McCaffrey in check should have been enough to win, especially if they don’t have the two picks.”
That’s a direct shot at Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offense… and a well-deserved one.

The defense did their part in this game, but it didn’t prevent another disappointing ending to Dallas’ season at the hands of their longtime rivals from the Bay Area.
Now, Dak and Mike McCarthy will have to endure another long offseason of hearing everyone question whether these two are capable of ending the Cowboys’ current Super Bowl drought.
