Bart Scott needs to release an apology.
Trevon Diggs, a star defensive back who is teammates with Micah Parsons, tore his ACL in practice earlier this week and is expected to miss the rest of the year.
On ESPN’s “First Take” on Friday, the panel was discussing the ramifications of the injury Scott tried to play off how Stephen A. Smith has spent years trolling the Cowboys faithful. It did not go over well.
“This is a major, major blow for Dallas, and like Stephen A. always said, ‘Just wait, something bad always happens,’” Scott said.
His comment was met with disgust as Ryan Clark and Stephen A. Smith showed how upset they were.
“No, don’t start that, don’t start that,” Clark said.
Smith added, “Hold up, I wouldn’t do that right now, in all seriousness. This is a season-ending injury so I’m certainly not gonna joke about that.”

Micah Parsons, the All-Pro Cowboys linebacker, quote-tweeted a video of the segment and hammered Scott.
“Wtf?? He ole hating ass hold head!! Lame asf,” Parsons wrote. “This why I really don’t like talking to dudes in the media!! As a former player you are a lame asf bro! Just facts joking bout a man trying to feed his family and building a legacy! ESPN gotta stop letting corn balls on tv!!
Diggs, who turned 25 this week, is a two-time Pro Bowler and was an All-Pro in 2021. He signed a five-year deal worth up to $97 million with the Cowboys this past offseason.
Diggs had also planned on attending the Beyonce concert on Thursday when tragedy struck. We end many prayers to him as he embark on a long recovery process to get himself ready for the 2024 NFL season.
