The Atlanta Falcons have managed to lose some crazy games in 2020, and one of them happened this past weekend.
With the ball and trailing by two, the Falcons just needed to run down the clock and stay out of the end zone to set up a last-second, game-winning field goal for Younghoe Koo.
Running back Todd Gurley scored a touchdown instead.
Gurley couldn’t stop his momentum and crossed the plane of the goal line as he attempted to not score. It turned out that Gurley knew he couldn’t score, and Matt Ryan reiterated that to Gurley in the huddle.
He couldn’t stay out of the end zone, and the Lions would pull off a game-winning touchdown drive with help of that blunder.
