The Miami Dolphins suffered their first loss of the year when Tua Tagovailoa starts and finishes a game when the San Francisco 49ers brought the team back to earth with a dominant performance.
The team also fell out of first place in the AFC East with their loss to the San Francisco 49ers. To make matters worse, starting offensive tackle Austin Jackson is headed to injured reserve and now the team is bringing in reinforcements.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Dolphins are signing offensive tackle Eric Fisher to a deal. You may remember he was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 31-year-old is a two-time Pro Bowler who won Super Bowl LIV in 2019. Fisher spent the 2021 season with the Colts after the Chiefs parted ways with him in 2020. He started 15 games for the Colts but struggled to stay healthy in the final three games of the season.
Tagovailoa finished the game against the 49ers completing 18 of 33 passes for 295 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. It was easily the worst outing of his career.
It was a bad loss, but the team is still 8-4 on the year and control their playoff destiny.
