When you have nothing to lose, you can afford top try some crazy things, much like the Miami Dolphins did during today’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Facing a 4th-and-goal from the Eagles’ one-yard line, Miami trotted out the kicking team. But then, rather unexpectedly, they lined up in a strange formation, snapped the ball, and the end result was punter Matt Haack hitting kicker Jason Sanders with a shovel pass in the end zone for six.
With that, the Dolphins lead the Eagles, 14-13. Madness.
