The Miami Dolphins have a high-powered offense and can outscore just about anybody in the league, but they are usually forced to since their defense is not the best.
In the entire league, the Dolphins rank just 20th in the league in defense, allowing 343.7 yards per game. That is horrendous and will surely catch up with them come playoff time.
If Miami wants to change the direction of their defense, the team needs to make a move.
Sayre Bedinger of FanSided thinks the Dolphins should be targeting Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander.
The report says:
“The Miami Dolphins have picks in the first- and second-round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but with the way their roster is constructed, I don’t think they would care if they don’t have first- or second-round picks for the foreseeable future. This Dolphins team seemingly has everything they need, except the cornerback position is a bit of a question mark.
They lost Jalen Ramsey before the season to an injury, and a player like Jaire Alexander could really boost this team’s chances at winning its third title in franchise history.”

The Dolphins defense is slated to get better with the return of Jalen Ramsey.
Ramsey returned to practice last week and his 21-day window to come off IR opened as a result. He’s looking to return from a torn meniscus that required surgery in late July. The star corner’s next opportunity to make his season debut will come in Week 8 versus the Patriots.
The Dolphins never placed a timeline on his return, so we are still unsure of when he might hit the field.
Alexander was added to the injury report last week with the same back issue that kept him out for games against New Orleans and Detroit. He returned to the lineup and played every snap at Las Vegas before the bye.
For the season, Alexander has 11 combined tackles, zero sacks, and zero interceptions.
