Miami Dolphins fans have quite a bit to worry about ahead of their upcoming showdown vs. the Dallas Cowboys.
With the fixture set for this Sunday, the AFC outfit is dealing with multiple key injuries and, according to NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe, the whole offensive line missed practice this Wednesday. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill, running backs Raheem Mostert and De’Vone Achane, and cornerback Xavien Howard were also absent.
On a brighter note, safeties Jevon Holland and DeShon Elliot took part in training.
“He’s doing well,” head coach Mike McDaniel said on Holland in his midweek press conference. “I’m sure you get the sense [that] he’s so motivated and so aggressive to attack things. We have to kind of [hold him back] so that we don’t have any lingering effects. He’s very, very important part of the team.
“There’s a lot of guys that I kinda have to step in and get involved with training staff, you know, really, protect people from themselves. He is very high up on that list having, in terms of having to be proactive. So he’s doing well though and was in great spirits today. So I know he knows that he’s getting closer, but we’ll be prudent.”
There is a lot at stake for Miami this week. A win over Dallas could leave them with a good cushion for their Week 18 matchup against the Buffalo Bills, having already lost to them this season. They’re currently two games ahead of the Bills in the AFC East but the gap could close quickly if they don’t get it right against the NFC outfit this Sunday.
