The New York Giants fan base showed up to MetLife Stadium on Sunday, which is more than you can say about the players and coaching staff on the team.
At halftime, the game was 28-3, and the fan base knew it was completely over. Instead of sticking it out to the end, much of them left at halftime. That left tons of large, empty patches throughout MetLife, as it looked like less than half the seats were occupied in the second half.
For those who left the game early, they probably made the right call. In addition to beating traffic, they also didn’t have to stick around and endure the entirely of their Giants’ 38-11 thrashing at the hands of the Rams.
The loss dropped the Giants to 1-5 on the year. Their next home game is week 7 against the Panthers. Maybe their fans should just stay home for that one.
