The Jets host the Dolphins this afternoon in the NFL’s first Black Friday game.
The New York Jets will take on the Miami Dolphins on their home turf which also happens to be right next to American Dream – the second-largest mall in the country.
The massive shopping and entertainment destination had a frightening moment as it was evacuated due to a bomb threat on the morning of Black Friday.
Gov. Phil Murphy said that New Jersey State Police were investigating the threat and that everyone should evacuate “out of an abundance of caution.”
Soon afterward, the New York Jets released a statement from the New Jersey State Police confirming that the situation had been resolved.
“The New Jersey State Police confirmed that the situation at American Dream has been resolved. The stadium is not affected and our parking lots will open at 10 am,” the team said in a statement.

The agency’s bomb and K-9 units swept the mall for explosive devices but didn’t find any. The evacuation lasted a little under two hours.
The evacuation came on the largest shopping day of the year, when many Americans are expected to flood malls across the country in search of the best holiday deals.
MetLife Stadium seats over 80,000 people and Jets fans are notorious for their game-day turnout. And Black Friday shoppers are known for their dedication to chasing a good deal.
Things could’ve turned tragic on this day, but luckily, the local police handled things correctly.
