Earlier on Sunday, Chargers GM Tom Telesco announced that extension talks with RB Melvin Gordon would be postponed until after the season. That means that Gordon had a decision to make on whether he would report to the team and play in 2019 or go full Le’Veon Bell and sit out.
One twitter user took to the popular social media site and called Gordon out for changing his number if he were never going to wear it as a member of the Chargers.
Gordon responded as a man who had it in his head that he would not play a game for the Chargers this season or ever again.
Gordon paid $40,000 to a teammate in order to change his jersey number from 28 to the No. 25.
The all-pro RB is said to be seeking a deal worth closer to $13 million per season.
