Mekhi Becton has undergone a remarkable body transformation ahead of next season after missing all of 2022.
The New York Jets offensive tackle re-injured his right knee, which had already been surgically repaired, during training camp in August and spent the entire campaign sidelined.
Becton has lost a significant amount of weight as it appears he’s not keen on being bogged down by another knee injury, having used his rehab time to get into shape. The player took to social media to share some new photos of his new frame and looks a great deal smaller.

The 23-year-old played 14 games in his rookie season after being drafted as the 11th overall pick in 2020 and was every bit as impressive as the player who got the Jets to select him in the first round.
At 6ft 7in and 367lbs, Becton was more than a handful for opposing defenders in the running game and was just as good in pass protection, playing with the skill of someone beyond his years.

Following a solid first season, in which he missed games, the OL has had the misfortune of suffering two season-ending knee injuries.
Given his new look, it appears he’s doing everything he can to remain healthy, though there are some concerns over whether he can still be as effective given the loss in mass.
