Maurkice Pouncey, much like a bunch of other NFL players, is not a fan of the pending CBA deal from owners around the league.
The Pittsburgh Steelers center vented his feelings during a profanity-laced tirade on Instagram about the new deal.
“They ain’t looking out for the players,” Pouncey said. “And if y’all want my vote, the Pouncey Twins vote no!”
“F— that s—,” Pouncey, one of the Steelers’ union reps, said in the video that was posted to Instagram. “Our NFLPA, the dudes at the top, the leaders, man that s— is all f—ing bulls—. F— that. They ain’t looking out for the best of the players.”
He also stated that he will help out younger players with rent money, also calling for the league’s veterans to “stand the f— up.”
“If any player on any one of our teams, if y’all hurting for rent money or anything while we go through this lockout, call us,” Pouncey said. “Man, we got way more money than what they had back in the days.”

“(The owners) already get enough,” Pouncey told Kaboly. “Quit being greedy. The game is already great. If you want to do anything, make it safer. They are greedy. Greedy. They want more money and they are already billionaires.”
The proposed 10-year collective bargaining agreement includes a 17-game regular season and expanded playoffs.

Here are some other items listed in the proposed deal, per ESPN:
- A cap on the number of international games and that there would not be a full week of such contests. More likely is a continued mix of games in England (and other European sites) and Mexico. Most team schedules will have nine home games and eight road games in alternating years.
- Training camp padded practices would be reduced from a total of 28 to 16. A five-day acclimation period would precede summer practices. There would be more days off during camp — eight instead of five — and a limit on joint practices.
- No extra bye week in the regular season, something that had been discussed. However, teams basically would have two weeks to prepare for the season opener, with the elimination of the fourth preseason game.
- Rosters would expand from 53 to 55, with 48 players able to dress for games rather than the current 46. Practice squads would go from 10 players to 12 and eventually to 14, probably by 2022. There would be more flexibility for protecting practice squad players from becoming free agents.
