The NFL playoffs are heating up, and so is Mattress Mack.
Fresh off a $3.1 million loss after betting on the TCU Horned Frogs against the Georgia Bulldogs in the CFP National Championship, the furniture salesman is at it again.
Mack, whose real name is Jim McIngvale, won a historic $75 million betting on the Houston Astros last year, so he really has every right to risk money on whatever he feels like. He’s earned that.
However, fans are roasting the 71-year-old businessman over his latest bet. McIngvale has punted on the Dallas Cowboys to beat the Dallas Cowboys tonight in the hopes of raking in over a mil – well, they would have to do that first.
Mattress Mack put $200,000 down on Dallas to ride odds of +625 and win the NFC. He stands to win $1.5 million should they come through for him. Asked about the bet, he said he “dreamed the Cowboys won three straight and hopes his dream comes true.”
Fans, however, aren’t so sure about such a wager, based on their reactions via social media.

Certainly a good sign; but on the flip side, Brett Maher has missed both PATs…
