Texas furniture giant Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale made a $2 million bet on the Cowboys to beat the 49ers in the divisional playoff round Sunday night. Unfortunately for Mack, the Cowboys could not come out on top.
Dallas’s 19–12 loss cost McIngvale big, but he took it in stride as he offered Dak Prescott some advice after the loss.
“Hey Dak, Mattress Mack here. I just lost $2 million,” McIngvale said while wearing a Prescott jersey. “I got some advice for you: get rid of that Sleep Number mattress and get a Tempur-Pedic. You’ll get much better results!”
Prescott tossed two interceptions, and almost a third one as he could not play well enough to defeat a third-string QB that was the last pick in the NFL Draft. The Cowboys signal-caller finished the game with 206 yards on 23-for-37 passing and just one touchdown pass. He led the NFL in picks this past season with 15 and has a long offseason ahead of him yet again.
As for Mack, he is also coming off a $3 million betting loss that he placed on TCU Horned Frogs.
Don’t feel too bad as he made more than $75 million betting on the Houston Astros to win the 2022 World Series.
