Matthew Stafford is now speaking out on reports that stated he would be appearing in the second season of Netflix’s “Quarterback.”
Jake Ellenbogen of SB Nation’s Turf Show Times not only stated the Los Angeles Rams veteran would be in the series, but added that the NFL Network had already begun filming, and Stafford was mic’d up during Sunday’s win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Stafford responded to the rumors this week, but he was not as definite with the answer as the rumors.
“To be honest with you, I’ve had discussions with those guys,” Stafford said Wednesday, per The Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue. “I’m not sure there is going to be a Season 2. I’m not sure there isn’t. I’m not sure. I’m just more focused on the San Francisco 49ers, to be honest with you than anything going on off the field.”
Asked later whether he’ll be on board with Quarterback if there is one, Stafford had a one-word answer: “Possibly.”
Opening up his life to cameras and microphones would be totally different from Matt Stafford than we are accustomed to seeing.

Last week, Peyton Manning admitted that they’re having a hard time finding enough quarterbacks to do the show.
After a 5-12 finish in 2022 and a roster loaded with young players in 2023, the Rams were expected to only have a tough time last Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, but have a rough go at it this entire year.
Stafford did not throw any touchdowns, but he still picked apart the Seahawks’ secondary all afternoon despite the absence of Cooper Kupp. Los Angeles went up to the Pacific Northwest and dominated Seattle for a 30-13 victory in Week 1.
Stafford finished 24-of-38 for 334 yards as he looks to turn back the clock after an injury-riddled 2022. He led Los Angeles to 426 total yards and 27 first downs.
The task gets tougher next week when they face the 49ers at home and SoFi stadium would surely turn into a road game for the home team.
