CBS will have a new lineup calling games this fall and is set to present them as a group for the first time this coming week.
Per a tweet from the CBS Sports PR’s X account, NFL on CBS will feature an announce team including Andrew Caralon, Tiki Barber, Matt Ryan, and AJ Ross. The announcers will have a first run at it when the Carolina Panthers play the Detroit Lions on Friday in a match set for CBS and Paramount Plus.
“CBS’s top-three NFL broadcast teams will remain unchanged from last season. The top booth includes Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, and Tracy Wolfson, followed by the second-team Ian Eagle, Charles Davis, Evan Washburn, and third-team Kevin Harlan, Trent Green, and Melanie Collins,” Front Office Sports reported last month.
Ryan, a former NFL MVP, was released by the Indianapolis Colts in March but has not retired, so he will be operating as a guest analyst in what will be his first stab at game coverage. Of the group, he is the only new addition to the network.
The other three are all seasoned vets at CBS, all of them having worked with the network for several years covering football games on Sundays.
Barber is a former running back who spent his entire career with the New York Giants, going to three Pro Bowls. He was also named a First Team All-Pro in 2005.
