Last month, New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore was arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen gun and was subsequently charged with a fourth-degree felony of receiving a stolen firearm.
Per Ohio law, receiving a stolen firearm is a fourth-degree felony.
On Wednesday, TMZ Sports obtained video of the incident and it shows one of the cops warning the NFL star, “You’re gonna shoot your dick off.”
“In video of the stop, you can see officers swarmed the car immediately … and confronted Lattimore right away.
In the clip, cops say they smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car … and then asked Lattimore if there were firearms inside the ride.
Eventually, Lattimore revealed he DID have a gun on his person … and told cops it was located in the groin area of his jeans.
“You’re gonna shoot your dick off,” one officer said as he removed the firearm from Lattimore’s pants.
“Get yourself a holster, brother,” another cop told the New Orleans Saints corner.
As cops were conducting searches around the car, one of the officers apparently realized Lattimore was an NFL player … and said out loud, “You play for the Saints?!”
The cop then scolded the 24-year-old for putting himself in the position … explaining, “It’s not like you’re a, you know, f***ing chump out there, bro!”
The other three passengers in the car were arrested along with Lattimore.
Lattimore’s attorney issued a statement prior to Lattimore being charged.

“Mr. Lattimore, a proud Cleveland native with no prior criminal record or history, is fully cooperating with law enforcement’s investigation of this matter,” said Marcus Sidoti of Friedman, Gilbert of Gerhardstein, who represents Lattimore, in a statement to NFL Media. “He was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by police and was arrested without incident and was not formally charged. We believe that this was a misunderstanding and that this will become even clearer as new information becomes available and is shared with the authorities.”
The 24-year-old has starred as New Orleans’ starting cornerback for the last four seasons, starting 57 of his games played. He was named AP Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2017 and has made the Pro Bowl three times, most recently this past season.
