The New York Jets are being linked to a star wideout as the trade deadline looms.
The Jets built a team to compete for a Super Bowl in the offseason but their hopes were quickly dismantled after Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending injury he aims to defy.
Surprisingly, they’ve still stuck around to go 3-3 in their first six games with Zach Wilson as their starting quarterback and are still the only team to beat the Philadelphia Eagles. Still, they could use some additional firepower if they’re keen on securing a playoff spot.
The NFL Analysis Network has suggested a trade for Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, who could be their best option at the position unless players such as Davante Adams or Mike Adams are made available before the October 31 deadline, which is highly unlikely.
While Brown isn’t among the top pass-catchers in the league, he has loads of unfulfilled potential and already has a 1000-yard season to his name.
The former Baltimore Ravens WR is having a very decent campaign on a personal front, having made 32 catches for 383 yards and three touchdowns.
It might not take much convincing to enter a deal where Arizona is concerned as the player is nearing free agency, while they’re in rebuilding mode and could be open to a trade.
