The Kansas City Chiefs are sitting comfortably atop the AFC with a 6-1 record, and they once again figure to be a top buyer ahead of next Tuesday’s trade deadline.
Kansas City is clicking everywhere, but if there’s one area where they can improve, it’s at wide receiver. Rookie Rashee Rice has been the team’s most productive wideout with 26 catches for 305 yards and three touchdowns.
There isn’t a shortage of playmaking receivers available in the trade market. For Chiefs GM Brett Veach, there’s one enticing star wideout that should be atop his trade deadline wish list.
That would be Arizona Cardinals star Marquise “Hollywood Brown”, who’s having a productive year despite the absence of Kyler Murray. The 2019 first-round pick has 32 receptions for 383 yards and a trio of touchdowns.
With Brown in the final year of his contract, Arizona should be keen on trading him as opposed to losing Hollywood for nothing in 2024 free agency.
Kansas City should offer a conditional 2024 third-round draft choice and fellow wideout Kadarius Toney to Arizona in exchange for Brown. The condition is that the draft pick will become a second-rounder if the Chiefs win Super Bowl 58.

Toney has struggled to produce in Kansas City, but maybe an Arizona team devoid of Pro Bowl-level talents on offense could help him reach his potential once and for all. Throw in a day two pick, and this trade feels more than fair for the Cardinals.
The Chiefs are 6-1 without a true WR1 to complement tight end Travis Kelce. Adding a former 1,000-yard wideout and speedy deep threat like Brown would make an already potent offense that much more dangerous while also improving the Chiefs’ chances of repeating as champions.
