Marquez Valdes-Scantling is serious about his name.
The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver took to the podium for his postgame press conference following the AFC Championship and promptly issued a warning to the media inside the conference room.
“If you say my name wrong, I’m not answering your question,” MVS said. “Just a heads up.”

Valdes-Scantling is clearly tired of his name being slandered, so this way he is forcing media members to put in the work to get it right or risk not getting their questions answered by him.

MVS then took to Twitter to address the situation furthermore.
“This also continues for the entire Super Bowl week and any interview after,” MVS wrote.
Valdes-Scantling was the leading receiver for Kansas City in the 23-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He hauled in 6 balls for 116 yards and 1 touchdown.
The Chiefs will need this type of performance against the Eagles if they want a chance to win the Super Bowl.
