When it comes to different fan bases in the National Football League, the Green Bay Packers are known to have some of the best and most passionate ones in all of the league.
That passion took a dark turn on Sunday when Marquez Valdes-Scantling fumbled a game away.
Valdes-Scantling’s Green Bay Packers got the ball to start overtime with the game tied at 31. On the Packers’ second play, Valdes-Scantling lost a fumble that would end all hope of them winning against the Colts.
Valdes-Scantling said on Twitter after the game that he received death threats. He told those people they were “sick” and “need help.”
The Packers are now 7-3 after the loss and still in good shape for the playoffs. Packers fans can blame Marquez Valdes-Scantling all they want, but he wasn’t the one that blew a double-digit halftime lead that resulted in the team having to go into OT.
