Marlon Humphrey made a big defensive play during Monday’s night game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Only problem is that he thought he just broke up a pass, when it was actually an interception.
The Ravens defensive back, a former Alabama standout, was so eager to celebrate defending a pass thrown to Raiders TE Darren Waller that it looked like he dropped the ball. Humphrey went off to celebrate and the refs, nor the broadcasting crew made any mention of it.
If reviewed, he would likely be called down right where he was, which would’ve put the team in great position to possibly extend their score to 14-0 or 10-0. That could’ve easily changed the outcome of the game, and they would’ve never went into overtime.
