Reggie Bush is reportedly on the verge of leaving FOX over a contract dispute, with the network said to have already identified his replacement.
According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, FOX Sports’ Big Noon Kickoff is nearing a deal with Mark Ingram II and the veteran running back should come in as a Heisman Trophy winner who replaces another Heisman Trophy winner.
Ingram II is said to be considering retirement after 13 years in the NFL and, should that be the case, he will likely end up at FOX.
Bush and the network hit a temporary impasse over money last year. Per Marchand, while they refused to comment on the matter, they did look into alternatives, including Robert Griffin III and Desmond Howard, who work for ESPN. They also held talks with Ingram but the player decided to stick it out with the New Orleans Saints.
Ingram could return to play for another NFL season as he remains a free agent.
Bush, meanwhile, signed a one-year deal with FOX in 2022 and, with the anniversary now up, disagreements have surfaced again and it’s thought that he will be departing this time around.
