Shannon Sharpe is leaving “Undisputed.” The Hall of Fame tight end reached a buyout with Fox Sports to leave the FS1 morning show.
The move comes following a tweet commentator Skip Bayless refused to delete when Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field. There were also other incidents where Skip accused Shannon of being jealous of players that he criticizes on the show.
Marcellus Wiley, who was once on Fox Sports, took to social media this week and perfectly summed up why their relationship led to Sharpe leaving the show.
Per Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post, Sharpe reached an agreement on a contract buyout with Fox Sports and his final appearance on the daily sports talk show is expected to air after the conclusion of the NBA Finals.
As part of the buyout agreement, Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast will also cease to be part of Fox Sports.
Sharpe and Skip Bayless have been with Undisputed since the show launched in September 2016.

Sharpe and Bayless argued over various sports topics, but it became clear things were crossing the line between the both of them and a change was coming.
According to Glasspiegel, people close to Sharpe said he wasn’t looking to be the “unquestioned leader on the show, but wanted to be an equal with Bayless in the program’s topic selection.”
Like Wiley stated above, Bayless was not looking for an equal and now he will final say-so on who the next co-host will be that will fall in line with what he wants on the show.
Since his playing career ended in 2003, Sharpe has had a successful shift into broadcasting.
Wherever he lands, he is sure to bring a ton of his fan base with him.
