Malik Willis has fallen out of grace so fast in Tennessee.
The young quarterback did not impress anybody on the coaching staff or the front office with his play during the 2022 season. People around the NFL reportedly aren’t very high on Malik Willis, especially from his own team.
A new report is suggesting that Willis may not even make the final roster.
“Malik Willis, a 3rd rd pick last year, is the odd man out as long as [Ryan] Tannehill is on the roster. [Will] Levis is going to be on the team, and the Titans don’t typically keep three quarterbacks on the 53.”
Willis is in a precarious position heading into his second year in the Tennessee Titans’ quarterback room. The Titans’ third-round pick in 2022, Willis struggled and was benched as a rookie after three starts in relief of Ryan Tannehill.

He never passed for more than 100 yards in a game and never threw a touchdown.
With Tannehill heading into the final year of his contract, the Titans decided to use a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to select Kentucky quarterback Will Levis to possibly build their future around.
The 23-year-old Willis did not make a strong first impression in the NFL, throwing for 276 yards, no touchdowns, and three interceptions in eight games while completing just 50.8 percent of his passes and taking 10 sacks. He also rushed for 123 yards and a score. He was famously benched during a preseason game for running too much.
It seems unlikely he will get a chance to win the starting job as many assumed he would be in a position to do despite his bad play in his first year.
