Patrick Mahomes got smoked online by an Arizona-based reporter a few days ago after making a suggestion pertaining to the Coyotes via Twitter.
The Super Bowl-winning quarterback was having a great year as he was named NFL MVP before going on to win his second championship, as well as a Super Bowl MVP award. But things aren’t so great on the family side of things as his brother Jackson has been charged with some serious criminal offenses.
Mahomes would take to Twitter to suggest that the Arizona Coyotes should move to Kansas City and change their name after folks voted against them getting a new, $2.3 billion sports venue.
While the team’s future is in question, a Phoenix reporter named Makayla Perkins was not happy with the QB’s comment.
“Maybe you should focus on keeping your little brother out of jail and less on our team,” she wrote in response to Mahomes. She’s since deleted the tweet but still went after Chiefs fans via the platform.

What we know about Makayla from her bio is that she works for PHNX Sports and used to work for other outlets such as Bally Sports Arizona and AZ Sports.

Of course, her dig at Mahomes was unfair as he isn’t at all responsible for his brother’s actions. But it still made for some good offseason entertainment.
