Madden NFL 23 is set to introduce its first-ever Ring of Honor to the popular NFL simulation this week, with EA Sports announcing as much on Tuesday.
The video game has been one of the most popular sports titles for as long as it’s been around and new features are constantly added, making it an even more enjoyable experience for users.
The game’s developers took to social media on Tuesday to drop a trailer for the upcoming Ring of Honor class, which is the first of its kind.
Five former NFL players, namely Barry Sanders, Deion Sanders, Randy Moss, Lawrence Taylor, and Tony Gonzalez, will be honored as part of the introductory iteration.

The first Sanders, a former running back, played for the Detroit Lions from 1989-1998 and was the league’s MVP in 1997, as well as a 10-time Pro Bowler.
The other is a two-time Super Bowl winner who’s now making his name as a college coach. A six-time Pro Bowler, Deion played for the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, and Baltimore Ravens. He also played professional baseball while in the NFL, suiting up for five MLB teams.
Moss is widely regarded as one of the best wide receivers to ever grace the NFL and was also a Pro Bowl selection six times, having led the league in receiving touchdowns for five seasons.
Taylor, meanwhile, won two Super Bowls as a linebacker for the New York Giants, spending 12 years with the team. He was the league’s MVP in 1986, as well as a three-time Defensive Player of the Year.
Gonzalez, a former tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons, is one of just four players who was selected as a Pro Bowler 14 times. Only Tom Brady has more, with 15. The 47-year-old was the league’s receptions leader in 2004.
As for the feature, it will be available in Madden Ultimate Team as of Thursday, March 23.
