The Madden curse always seems to find a way to show you how crazy it can get. If it doesn’t get the person on the cover, it gets their teammates.
Madden 19 just took it a step further.
The cover athlete for that one was Antonio Brown and you can point to several things that have happened to contribute to the Madden curse, like him being suspended during the last game of the year because of his behavior. Changing the color of his facial hair and hair on his head to look ridiculously crazy, or being traded to the Oakland Raiders.
Nope. None of those has anything on what was on the cover that has him currently dealing with an injury.
On the Madden 19 cover was a Frostbite graphic that a user saw and it explains why he’s dealing with a frostbite issue with his feet at this very moment.
Brown suffered frostbite on his feet following a cryotherapy session that became worse because he wasn’t rocking the proper footwear. He has yet to practice with the team in training camp because of it.

Not to mention, he is threatening to retire if he can’t wear the same style helmet he has been wearing since he came into the league as the old style is no longer approved.
Only time will tell what will happen with Patrick Mahomes.
