CBS Sports decided to simulate the NFL regular season on Madden 24, and if it’s any indication, we’re in for a wild season, but a typical one for the Cowboys
When the regular season was simulated, Dallas was the #1 team in the NFC, and Quarterback Dak Prescott even won MVP with a spectacular 5,200 passing yards and 43 touchdowns, only to lose in the divisional round to the Aaron Rodgers-less Green Bay Packers. Only Dallas.
Keep in mind that this simulation also had the Cleveland Browns and the Carolina Panthers in the playoffs and kept the Detroit Lions out of the playoffs, so there’s a lot of fiction at play, plus a Battle of the Bays as the Packers take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship. Hard pill to swallow.
In their defense, the simulation also saw the Kansas City Chiefs going back to back, which isn’t farfetched but difficult. This is a fun way to predict the season, but even the simulation remembers how the Cowboys play in the playoffs, so there is a sense of realism.
