Mac Jones appears to be getting some motivation from the beatdown he suffered by the Buffalo Bills in last season’s AFC playoffs.
The New England Patriots quarterback has a photo taped in his locker of himself, looking dejected with his head down, as he walks off the field in January at Highmark Stadium. The score of the game, 47-17, is written on the photo.
Jones would complete 24-of-38 passes in the playoff loss for 232 yards while tossing two touchdowns and two interceptions. However, Josh Allen and the Bills offense had their way against the Patriots’ defense.
Allen led Buffalo’s offense to a perfect game of sorts in the Wild Card round with the team scoring touchdowns on every drive at Highmark Stadium.
There are high expectations on Jones and the Patriots this 2022, especially with the young QB getting a year of experience under his belt and a full preseason to learn Bill Belichick’s schemes better.
