New England has found their new franchise quarterback.
On Tuesday, it was reported that Cam Newton was getting released from the roster and rookie QB Mac Jones would be inserted as the starting QB. Newton was in competition with Mac Jones for the starting quarterback job.
Soon after the news, it was reported that his jersey had completely sold out at Patriots Pro Shop.

I think Patriots fans might be a little excited.
In 15 games played last season, Newton had 2,657 passing yards and had only eight touchdown passes. He added 592 yards on the ground and 12 rushing touchdowns.
Jones finished the preseason 36-of-52 for 389 yards, with one touchdown and no interceptions.
For his college career, Jones participated in 30 total games throwing for 6,126 yards and 56 touchdowns.
