The NFL has reviewed the incident surrounding New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones and made their decision regarding the accusation that Sauce Gardner made against him.
On Monday, Gardner shared a video that shows the alleged incident. The video shows Gardner shoving Jones after Jones emerges from the middle of a scrum following a quarterback sneak during Sunday’s game. Gardner accused Jones of hitting him in his private part area.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones is not expected to be suspended, following recent allegations that he hit New York Jets cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner below the belt in Sunday’s game.
There is still a possibility of a fine.
There have been multiple video clips that have surfaced on social media, but none have conclusively shown anything egregious from Jones.
The third-year quarterback appeared on “Jones & Mego” this week and claimed “nothing was intentional” in his brief run-in with Gardner.

This is not the first time that Jones has been accused of dirty play. Last year, Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Eli Apple accused Jones of “dirty play” after Jones dove at his feet during an interception.
Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay then wrote on social media that Jones is “Dirty af!!”
The NFL ultimately fined Jones for the low hit on Apple and a separate unnecessary roughness penalty in the same game.
