NFL Fans Were Going Bonkers Over Mac Jones Out Of This World 70-Yard Bomb (VIDEO + TWEETS)

New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones had fans raving over a video he popped up in this Wednesday.

The former Alabama QB isn’t known for his arm strength, yet he’s managed to casually launch a 70-yard bomb, showing off his range in the clip shown below. It appears Jones has been working on his upper-body strength – or maybe he had that in his bag the whole time?

Guess it’s hard to make those types of plays when your offensive coordinator is a defensive coordinator at heart. But Jones might need to fire off some long ones in the upcoming season and would do well to have a wide receiver such as DeAndre Hopkins as an option.

Mac didn't have the time to throw passes like that last year. Too many times defenders were in his face on 3 step drops. Don't care if it's a 50yd or 70yd pass like the see him have the time for those type of throws this year

As suggested above, the QB is in need of a bounce-back campaign in 2023 as fans even called for him to be benched in favor of fourth-round rookie Bailey Zappe. While he made a solid start to his career, his second year left a lot to be desired as he regressed, with injuries getting in the way. There was that OC/DC thing as well…

Jones also got on head coach Bill Belichick’s bad side as he sought help for the Pats’ offense behind the latter’s back, which left him pretty angry when he found out.
