After LSU defeated Clemson 42-25 on Monday night, Odell Beckham Jr. could be seen out on the field handing out cash to junior defensive back Jontre Kirklin and junior receiver Justin Jefferson.
The university initially stated that it was fake money, but QB Joe Burrow later stated he actually got real money from the Cleveland Browns.
“I’m not a student-athlete anymore so I can say it, yeah,” Burrow told Pardon My Take.
That situation has created an issue, because on Wednesday, the school was released a statement that they are in contact with the NCAA and SEC to rectify the situation.
Beckham had also sent the players on the team a pair of Beats headphones before the game, but that was cleared by the NCAA.
