Just like every other year, NFL refs are getting blasted week in and week or for missed calls or bad ones that ultimately change the outcome of a game.
One of the most agregious ones was this month when cornerback A.J. Green was flagged for a controversial pass interference penalty on a Chargers fourth down. Replay clearly showd he was the one being interfered with during that play. Another one was officials missing a delay of game on the Baltimore Ravens in their game against the Lions,
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson threw an incomplete pass soon after hiking it, which set up Justin Tucker for a game-winning 66-yard field that went off the crossbar as time expired to give the Baltimore Ravens a thrilling 19-17 victory over the Detroit Lions.
Former longtime NFL referee Mike Pereira stuck up for his brothers in stripes during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
“Being a ref is an impossible job. It is so hard,” he said. “Everybody is the best, including me, at slow motion officiating…If you look at the amount of decisions that they have to make in the course of the game, they’re right 99% of the time.”
He may not be wrong, but it will never stop fans from complaining about refs. It is one of the most thankless jobs in the entire country.

No fan base will be happy with refs, especially if their team loses a game.
