Detroit Lions running back Jamaal Williams had an emotional and moving post-game interview after leading his team to an upset win over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
The Lions defeated the Packers 20-16 to spoil the Packers’ postseason hopes in front of a stunned Lambeau Field crowd. With the victory, Detroit finished 9-8 and clinched their first winning season since 2017.
In the post-game interview, an emotional Williams dedicated the win to his late great-grandfather, who passed away at the age of 92:
The 27-year-old Williams spent his first four NFL seasons with the Packers (2017 to 2020) before joining the Lions in 2021. He finished the game with 72 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns to send his former NFL team home.
With the Packers losing, the Seattle Seahawks snuck in as the final playoff team in the NFC. Seattle defeated the defending champion Los Angeles Rams in an overtime thriller by a final score of 19-16.
