Detroit Lions star running back Jahmyr Gibbs got a random drug test following his impressive outing in Sunday’s victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
Gibbs had 80 rushing yards, two rushing scores and four receptions for 20 yards in Sunday’s 30-24 win that clinched the Lions their first division title in 30 years. Gibbs later posted on Instagram that the league sent him a note to let him know that he’s to be drug tested:
Well, Gibbs may as well take it as a compliment. His performance was so dominant that it may very well be the reason why the league wanted him to be drug tested.
The 21-year-old Gibbs has rushed for 872 yards and nine touchdowns to go along with 51 receptions for 316 yards and one touchdown through Detroit’s first 15 games. At 11-4, the Lions have already clinched their best record since 2014.
