Marijuana has different effects on different people. When some people smoke weed, the only thing they’re capable of doing is sitting on a couch and demolishing a bag of Doritos.
Three-time Pro Bowl running back Le’Veon Bell, on the other hand, is the type to smoke up, then go out and run for “150 and two tuds.”
During a recent appearance on Steel Here, Bell discussed his marijuana use, admitting that he regularly smoked before games in the NFL.

Bell was hit with a few drug-related suspensions during his NFL career. One came after he was busted for DUI and marijuana possession with then-Steelers teammate LeGarrette Blount, while another was the result of a missed drug test one year later.
Those suspensions came in the midst of Bell’s prime, when he was part of the Steelers’ “Killer B’s,” alongside Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown.

After holding out in 2018, Bell was never the same. He spend time with the Jets, Chiefs, Ravens and Buccaneers over the course of the next three seasons, but never came close to the 1,000-yard rushing mark.
Despite not having played since 2021, Bell has not officially retired from the NFL. Instead, he’s continued to take on NFLers… only in the boxing ring.
