Le’Veon Bell’s first season with the New York Jets was nothing he had hoped it would be as he only rushed for only 789 yards and three touchdowns and never made the type of impact that the Jets were hoping to see when they signed him to a 4-year, $52 million deal last offseason.
Bell closed out his 2019 season by getting just four touches in the second half of the Jets win over the Bills in Buffalo.
New York Jets head coach Adam Gase was asked on Monday if he wanted Bell back next season, and he didn’t exactly give a ringing endorsement.
Bell eventually saw that comment and responded hilariously on Twitter with a Michael Scott gif from ‘The Office”:
Adam Gase’s first season as New York’s head coach ended in a 7-9 record — the Jets’ fourth straight losing season.
