Just when it seemed like the Antonio Brown trade rumors had taken over the NFL offseason spotlight for today, another former Steeler decided he wanted to make a little noise of his own.
Earlier today, former Pittsburgh running back Le’Veon Bell was spotted hanging with Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Chris Jones. And while together, the two of them teased the possibility of Bell making Arrowhead his home for the 2019 NFL season.
#whatif, you ask? How about #championship?
Could you imagine what a Chiefs offense would look like with Le’Veon Bell? You’d have to think it would at least be as good as the Chiefs offense was with Kareem Hunt. Or perhaps even better?
While the Chiefs did come just a coin flip and a horrible roughing the passer call away from reaching the Super Bowl last season, it’s easy to overlook just how big of an impact Hunt’s release had on their offense.
Unfortunately for Jones, Bell, and everyone else who’d like to see this happen, it’s highly unlikely, given the Le’Veon’s high demands, the Chiefs’ limited cap space, and their much more pressing needs on the defensive side of the ball.
