With the ongoing drama surrounding wide receiver Antonio Bell, you sort of forget that the first few weeks of the 2018 season was all about Le’Veon Bell showing up to play for the team or not. He did not.
The running back refused to sign his franchise tender, which meant he was ineligible to play for the remainder of the 2018 season. He likely won’t play for the franchise ever again, seeing as how the team would have to shell out $25M to him if they choose to franchise him again.
On Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams defeated the New Orleans Saints to head to the Super Bowl in Atlanta on February 3rd. That prompted Bleacher Report on all of the moves that the Rams made in the offseason that got them to this point.
Bell jumped in the comments and complimented them spending money now while clearly taking a shot at his former team.
