Another former NFL superstar and multi-time Pro Bowler may be replacing Shannon Sharpe on the Fox Sports 1 “Undisputed” program.
According to a report from Michael McCarthy and A.J. Perez of Front Office Sports, former NFL running back LeSean McCoy is among the candidates to replace Sharpe and work alongside Skip Bayless on the popular sports program:
“LeSean McCoy is emerging as an early possible contender to succeed Shannon Sharpe as Skip Bayless’ debate partner on “Undisputed.”
The former NFL star turned co-host of FS1’s “SPEAK” is expected to have an extended audition with the irascible Bayless once Sharpe takes his contractual buyout from Fox Sports, two sources with knowledge of the situation told Front Office Sports. “
The report noted that Joy Taylor and Emmanuel Acho are among the options to replace Sharpe as well. Citing a source, the report also stated that Bayless will have the “final say” on his new co-host.
It was reported that Sharpe, a three-time Super Bowl champion and Hall of Fame tight end, is set to leave FS1. The show premiered in Sept. 2016, Bayless’ first year with FS1 following his departure from ESPN.
