LeSean McCoy is really not a fan of Justin Fields.
LeSean “Shady” McCoy is back at it again. The 12-year NFL veteran and 2x Super Bowl champ is doubling down on his stance about Justin Fields.
This week, Shady is back at it by claiming that Fields can’t throw the football. McCoy justified how bad Fields was by saying “picks” and “1-6 in the last 7.”
“Everyone says, ‘Oh man get him some weapons.’ But I’m thinking as a wide receiver, if I’m [Darnell] Mooney, right. Or if I’m Claypool, I’m like ‘What about us?’ Why can’t they say, ‘Get us a quarterback?'” McCoy asked.
Fields has been the offensive catalyst for the Bears in the past four weeks and you can see the drastic improvement in him for sure. The former Ohio State quarterback recorded his second-straight game with more than 100 yards rushing in Sunday’s 31-30 loss to the Detroit Lions, recording 147 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.
Through 10 games, Fields has 1,489 passing yards with a 58.9% completion rate, throwing 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also has 749 rushing yards and six touchdowns, averaging 7.2 yards per carry.
